Type 302 Stainless offers more corrosion resistance than Type 430, but at a lower cost than Type 316. Those features make Type 302 a very popular choice for most applications. Also known as 18-8 (18% chromium 8% nickel). 302 is the most common grade of stainless steel. Provides good corrosion resistance with strength slightly lower than galvanized steel.
